An idea can change your life is similar to saying buying vegetable will fill your belly or reading syllabus will make you exam topper. An idea good or bad cannot give you the assurity of success while there is something else that can do that! Its called culture.
How often have you felt sexual for your real mom or real sister? How often do you feel like having your food in your lavish toilet? How often do you feel like not giving seat to a really elder woman in metro? While not so ironically in many parts of India and world, Cases are scene where own people go sexually wild over own mothers and sisters, specially in west! People without proper homes have food very near to toilets, not a big deal for them and that same elder woman in go standing in Private buses or so... dont doubt! Ideas are trillion, executing them is also done billions of times but the one that comes out to be path-breaker or scene changing are the ones enriched by a culture!
We as Indians do so many things traditionally, we are brainwashed to touch the feet of elders daily, to repsect own mothers and sisters and respect religious practices. Such things might seem normal to you but there is a vast majority that doesnt do such things or advocates doing otherwise. Why is it so normal for us? Culture my friend.
A culture begins with an idea... that idea is shared among a few people and then symbols are created for quick reminders for the same until we reach a point where we dont need symbols but we ourselves become the soul of the culture. We talk of things aligning with the culture, we behave differently and we act differently. So not just a loose idea floating on this planet but a full force, and more the people stronger the culture. Civilisations are culture and the indian traditions that owe their origin to those civilisations prove that ideas once turned to culture flourishes not just in present but for centuries to arrive!
So I am currently into my Apple series these days and have to read alot about the company these days to find better and new content. I got this insight while working about one major vector difference that apple carries and the reason why it became even stronger after the don steve jobs died. I was struck by this word Culture then and i realized that just a small inclination towards hippies and spirituality and simplicity has taken the company to such a long place such that today worldwide this compnay is seen as a symbol of free spirited lovable products. isnt this awesome? And it happened because of the vivid apple culture that we know is so different from others.
I dont want to write really long about this... but I feel the idea is strong and my apple initiative is also to get a bit of that culture in the heads of my readers about my blog. Only time will tell how successfully can i get that done... afterall i am just one man doing everything!
